During the exhibition Another Place, My Life three new publications appeared!
Lado Darakhvelidze spent this spring in The Fifth Season. For the project 'Transmission' Darakhvelidze erased information from national newspapers and invited patients to give new content to the news by fillings in the blanks with personal texts and drawings. During his residency he also supervised fifteen students from the Fine Art department of Artez, School of the Arts Arnhem, where he is a lecturer since 2013. The students worked at The Fifth Season and provided individual contributions to 'Transmission'. The publication 'Ideal Newspaper no. 4' is released in the form of a newspaper and consists of the contributions of patients.
In addition, the publications 'Dear Fighters!' by Sayaka Abe and 'Choreographed by the Other' by Nina Glockner also appeared. In the Summer of 2015 they stayed together in the artists' residence. Besides the daily 'Morning Radio Exercises' and the collective cooking sessions for patients and staff of the mental health care organization Altrecht, Abe and Glockner each developed an individual work. Sayaka Abe's work arises from personal observations and conversations with people she encounters in unusual situations. 'Dear Fighters!' shows four drawings, collected stories and photos about the contacts she gained during the residency. 'Choreographed by the Other' is the title of the project which Nina Glockner completed her residency. She studied the relationship between psychological and physical expression and developed a script based on meetings with patients of Altrecht.
