MY OTHER TONGUE

The exhibiton MY OTHER TONGUE showed work from twelve artists that participated in The Fifth Season's Summer School 2018.

Artist residency The Fifth Season, together with artists Dirk van Lieshout and Marieke Zwart, invited twelve art academy students and young artists, for the second edition of the Summer School, to explore the field of psychiatry and art; with a specific focus on Language. 

The ten day program, both at the WA Hoeve in Den Dolder and the Beautiful Distress house at NDSM Amsterdam, featured lectures by artists and psychiatrists, visits to mental health institutions and meeting people in treatment.

The exhibition MY OTHER TONGUE was opened on July 18th by director and curator of The Fifth Season Esther Vossen and Anke Bangma, director of TENT Rotterdam. The exhibition was held from July 18th through August 5th, 2018, in Beautiful Distress House in Amsterdam.
