Making contact with psychiatric patients is a central aspect of everyone's stay at the complex. Bloem decided to do something with this theme. He designed postcards with ‘Een groet uit Den Dolder’ (Greetings from Den Dolder) printed on them. Everyone was given two of the postcards. The idea was to send one to someone one loved and one to the artist himself. Everyone was assured of receiving an answer, whatever they wrote. In another work, he placed the word 'hope' in mint-green steel letters on an overgrown hill. Regardless whether one sees the work as a stimulus or as a confrontation – it is, first and foremost, the word 'hope' mounted on a pile of excess earth.
