Herman Verkerk

Herman Verkerk knows the Willem Arntsz Hoeve from his youth, for he grew up in Den Dolder and enjoyed playing there as a child. With his background as an architect/designer, he is interested in the succession of spatial experiences people have when moving through a building or going outside. During his stay in Het Vijfde Seizoen, he charted the spatial stories told by the different buildings in the landscape of the Hoeve. He then made scale models of the pavilions in the form of bird houses that he offered to the residents.
