The photos Ienke Kastelein made during her stay offer us the opportunity to see what she saw. She felt like an outsider wanting to see what was going on inside. Because she felt uncomfortable in that position, she decided to look at the surroundings in a new way together with the patients. The question she asked them was, ‘Where would you like to sit?’ They all walked around in search of new vistas and places to sit. The walks and the desire to leave something behind led to her making seats with a little placard that says, ‘I am sitting in Den Dolder’.
