Jean Bernard Koeman

Jean Bernard Koeman is a versatile artist. His normal activities – making monumental installations and sculptures – proved difficult to combine with Het Vijfde Seizoen setup, so he consulted with the staff of Roosenburg, a closed section for forensic psychiatry. Together they decided that Koeman would have talks and workshops with the residents in order to gather inspiration for a large wall drawing. Which is how he made 'Apparaten die dienen om te antwoorden op vragen waarvan we niet weten wat we er mee aan moeten' (devices designed to give answers to questions we can't deal with).
