Susanne Ohmann

Dancer Susanne Ohmann chose Little Red Riding Hood as a metaphor for life both inside and outside the mental institution. She embarked upon a creative quest with one of the female residents, using an associative approach. The intimate interaction turned into a process of cross-fertilization, for Susanne started making drawings and paintings, while the artist from the Hoeve developed into a dancer and actress. Susanne filmed her with a video camera. During the shooting, other personages also turned up, earning a place in the whole as counterparts or additions to the fairytale. The fundamental tension between innocence and guilt, purity and perversion reveals a wealth of inspiration.
