The Fifth Season in Japan
After the earthquake and tsunami of Tohoku socially engaged art is more on topic then ever was. The Fifth Season was invited by the Art&Society Research Center in Tokyo for the international exhibition "Social Engaged Art: A New Wave of Art for Social Change'. Works of former residents Frank Koolen (2012), Annaleen Louwes (2003), Marieke Zwart (2016) and Sayaka Abe (2015) were showed. The exhibition took place in Tokyo and runned from February 18th up and until March 5th. Other artists were Pedro Reyes, Ai WeiWei, Suzanne Lacey and Project Row Houses. The exhibition was in collaboration with the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo.
