Chris Baaten recorded his discoveries in a public diary in clay. When it turned out that some of the patients were not only interested in his work but also in the clay, he started an ‘open studio’. They always wanted to know more about his motives as an artist, and he in his turn listened to the stories they told about their lives. In the end, Baaten made a hutch in which all of the clay sculptures could be placed. The Gesamtkunstwerk was exhibited as a final presentation at the end of his stay.
