Open Studio in Het Vijfde Seizoen: Sanne Kabalt
This spring photographer Sanne Kabalt works and lives in Het Vijfde Seizoen. On the basis of dialogues and photo's Sanne Kabalt examines the phenomenon empathy. Her work can be seen at the end of this month. Be welcome!

Opening at 17.00 with an opening speech by Esther Vossen, director and curator Het Vijfde Seizoen, followed by a conversation between Sanne Kabalt and writer/researcher Taco Hidde Bakker.

In 2011 Sanne learned about Het Vijfde Seizoen (The Fifth Season) when she was working as an intern on the project of former resident Anouk Kruithof. Now, five years on, she is working in the residency with two interns from the photography department of the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (School of the Arts Utrecht).
In recent years Sanne has made several photography projects including subjects on the functioning of our memory. Her project on the return of the wolf in our country, was published last year in Vrij Nederland. www.vn.nl/op-zoek-naar-de-wolf (this link is in Dutch)
Sanne Kabalt (1989) is a photographer. Her work deals with psychological issues such as memory and anxiety. She completed her studies in photography at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht in 2011. After her graduation project Sanne was nominated for the Steenbergen Stipend. Since then she has exhibited her work in Nederlands Fotomuseum, Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and Art Rotterdam.
